Furniture design and interior architecture students from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts are attending the furniture fair in Stockholm with the concept Shit Happens.
Through concept-based approaches the second year students in interior architecture and furniture design have challenged prejudices and conventions around the sanitary situation. The students highlight important issues of global value, built on an ethical and critical attitude towards product design.
The exhibition in Stockholm is a result of a period where the students with awareness of ergonomic and anthropometric principles have immersed themselves in sanitary challenges in a global perspective.
The students exhibits in the Greenhouse area along with 30 other design schools from 13 countries. Greenhouse is the exhibition area for students and independent designers, and is often referred to as the most exciting department under the Stockholm Furniture Fair. At the academy’s exhibition stand, four prototypes will be displayed alongside with the processes from everyone who has contributed to the project.
